Two condominium units on separate floors were combined and completely renovated to create a spacious “mountain modern” design. The upper level offers custom steel detailing influenced by the mining history of the surrounding Telluride region. The kitchen, dining and living areas are combined into one space, which also offers views into the adjacent Master Suite. An operable wall partition allows the master bedroom to be completely private or participate in the views of the main space. As part of the renovation, Strang was able to capture the space formerly occupied by a ‘public’ stair that connected the two separate units. This space was given to the ‘great room’ to enhance the overall design.
