Max Strang, AIA | principal architect + president: Max graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from the University of Florida in 1994. He went on to receive a Masters Degree at Columbia University, along with an honor award for design excellence. Prior to launching his own firm, he worked for the world renowned architect, Zaha Hadid in London. Thereafter, Max worked for New York-based SHoP Architects on the award-winning design for the Manhattan Museum of Sex (MOSEX). Of greatest influence, however, was Max's association with Florida architect, Gene Leedy. He was raised in a Leedy-designed home and later began his career at Gene's Winter Haven office. Leedy was an important member of the Sarasota School of Architecture movement and provided Max with a solid background in classic modernism.
Locally, Max has served on the City of Miami's Planning Advisory Board and Urban Environment League's Board of Directors. He has also worked for Coconut Grove's Village Council as Zoning Committee Chairman. He is a graduate of the Miami Fellows Initiative and continues to serve on the Board of Advisors for Florida International University, the Professional Liaison Committee for the University of Florida and the National Tropical Botanical Garden at The Kampong's Board of Overseers. Jason Richard Adams, Assoc. AIA | director + vice president: Jason graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture from the University of Colorado in 2001. He went on to work in the Vail Valley for Fritzlen Pierce Architects, lead by Principals Lynn Fritzlen and Bill Pierce. Jason gained his experience in the design development and construction of custom homes throughout the Vail Valley as well as the development of mixed-use construction, renovation and master planning projects in Vail's on-mountain villages. With his gained experience, Jason moved to Miami and began working for Max in 2003 as a Project Manager. Jason has managed award winning projects such as the Schokman Education Center at the Kampong and Fairchild Tropical Gardens Science Village, mixed use developments and marketing and public relations work. In 2006, Max named Jason his Office Director, charged with overseeing the firm's Project Managers, marketing strategies and long-term growth and overall success of the firm. Jason's adoration of timeless modernism, natural pallettes and the lush landscape of South Florida continue to drive his passion for Architecture and the vision of Max Strang.
Jason starting his community work through Habitat for Humanity and maintains his community involvement with fundraising efforts for the foundations of AIPAC, Susan G. Komen and Miami's Chapman Partnership for the homeless. Follow Jason on twitter: @tropicalmodern

Maria Ascoli, LEED AP | senior architectural designer: Maria graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture from the University of Colorado in 2003. Upon moving to Miami, she has worked for Reveulta Vega Leon under the tutelage of architect Luis Revuelta as well as designer John Marquette. Maria has collaborated on high-end residences, renovations of historic buildings and interior design for both residential and commercial. Maria joined Max Strang Architecture in 2007 and has been integral in the design of our award winning projects. Originally from Guatemala, Maria was the founder of the Association of Latin American Students (ASLAS) and was a member of the Colorado Habitat for Humanity project. Maria is also an award wining Badminton player, representing the Guatemalan team at the Pan-American Games. In her spare time, she is an avid skier, snowboarder and local badminton league member. William Warren, construction manager: Bill joined Max Strang Architecture in 2011 after managing his own practice in Boston, Massachusetts for the past 30 years. During this time, he has also worked as a Project Manager in Majorca, Spain with architect Alejandro de la Sota. Along with his vast experience of residential architecture and project management, Bill brings to the firm a deep knowledge of the design process from the early development stages through the construction techniques and components required for sophisticated custom architecture. He is also tasked with tracking the conceptual budgets through the bidding process, including analysis of proposals and leading bid negotiations for contractor selections. Beyond the office, Bill continues to donate his time to a school in the Boston area where he served as a trustee. He continues to raise money for student scholarships and as a member of the school's Building Committee, Bill is currently overseeing a large new construction project on the campus.

Alexandra Mangimelli, LEED AP | project manager: Alexandra graduated with a Masters in Architecture from Tulane University in 2009, winning the 2009 AIA New Orleans Chapter Design Award for Residential Architecture. She went on to work with Gehry Partners in Los Angeles as part of their award winning residential design team before relocating to Miami and joining Max Strang Architecture in 2010. Alexandra has an outstanding record of philanthropy and community involvement, building Habitat for Humanity homes in New Orleans and Costa Rica. She has been featured on the Sundance Channel's documentary, "Architecture School" and has been an avid fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In her spare time, Alexandra maintains her community service and fundraising roles for the various charities and societies that benefit from her presence and administration skills.

Jennifer Siqueira, LEED AP | project manager: Jen graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture from the University of California Berkeley School of Architecture. Before relocating to Miami, Jen worked as an Assistant Project Architect at Backen Gillam Architects in San Francisco. There she coordinated projects ranging from high-end residential homes to Winery's to the famous Auberge Palisades Spa & Resort. Upon moving to Miami, she founded the Architecture for Humanity Miami Chapter, maintaining her philanthropy efforts from her California days with Habitat for Humanity. Jen joined Max Strang Architecture in 2007 and again in 2011 after taking time off to organize and administer rebuilding projects and design competitions to benefit the people of Haiti after their devastating earthquake. Originally from Brasil, Jen is also fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and French. She has recently founded Up Lab, an international Humanitarian Urban Projects Design Collaborative at up-lab.org

Camila Borges, Assoc. AIA | intern architect: Camila graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture from the University of Florida in 2011. During her senior year, Camila was President of the AIA Student Chapter for the University and was the receipiant of the AIA Gainesville Chapter's Student Scholarship. In closing out her school career, she won the prestigious Design, Construction and Planning Leadership and Service Award. Camila was born and raised in Miami and is a second generation aspiring architect in her family.
